Change of Appointment

We request you to inform our office of the need to change or cancel appointments at least 2 business days prior to your scheduled appointment. Shorter notice of change or cancellations will severely limit our ability to offer another patient their most preferred time.

Emergencies
In most cases, dental emergencies are seen the same day during normal office hours. Please call our office at (780) 428-1025 and we will make every effort to alleviate your pain.

Infection Control

All our dental procedures are performed using strict infection control measures to prevent the spread of diseases and infections. These includes, but not limited to:

• Wearing disposable gloves and changing them between each patient.
• Wearing face masks to prevent microorganisms form entering or leaving through the mouth and nose.
• Wearing protective eyeglasses.
• We use the most effective system available to assure the sterility of our instruments
• Meticulously wiping down the treatment room before and after each patient with disinfectant solution.
• Using disposable products when available to reduce the chances of cross-contamination.
• Carefully discarding all disposables to minimize human contact.

Each member of our professional team is committed to rigorously follow above precautions to ensure your protection from bacterial and viral infections such as Tuberculosis, AIDS, Herpes, Hepatitis and Common-cold.

What To Expect During Your First Visit          

Prior To Your First Visit

In order to provide the best care possible to our patients, we require that new patients undergo a comprehensive dental and periodontal examination at the time of their first visit. Future procedures performed in our office are based upon this examination. During that initial visit you will receive the following:

• complete head and neck examination
• screening for oral cancer
• dental radiographs (when indicated and as needed)
• complete periodontal examination evaluating the teeth and soft tissue that support them

This examination allows us to identify specific problems and develop a treatment plan for you. The results of the examination will be discussed with you at the end of the visit, detailing the treatment plan, along with recommendations and estimated fees.

1. Please arrive fifteen minutes prior to your appointment in order that our receptionist may complete your registration.
2. NEW PATIENT FORMS are available online. and will be forwarded to you prior to your appointment.
3. Children under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on their first visit.
4. If you have models/radiographs from a previous dental office that are less than three years old, please let us know and we will request them with your consent. It will make your comprehensive exam easier and more efficient.
5. If there is any specific condition of concern in your past medical history, please contact our office before your first appointment. Patients with certain medical conditions might require pre-medication with antibiotics to prevent bacterial endocarditis.  want to ensure that you have all the information you need to make informed decisions about your dental health.
